Yep first bit of adversity to get through / adding Matic looks even better now as they have depth in the middle.

Marco Asensio can't play tonight because of an infected pimple after shaving his legs. Can't even make that #### up.

Lol, apparently it is a little worse. It's the infected pimple like you say, but it's because he can't pull up his socks!

Spurs score inside 5 minutes, City inside 2, Liverpool has Lovren.

Huge win for Spurs! I am so excited! Great looking squad and put three on a team that hadn't allowed a goal this year.

Referee nearly hit by a flare obviously fired from a gun from a Spartak Moscow supporter.

Arsenal-Cologne was delayed for an hour because the Germans have invaded the Emirates.

And now they lead 1-0. Has a real home game feeling ... the Cologne fans must have bought a ton of Arsenal home tickets too.

Watching Östersund play Zorya. Amazing achievement for Östersund as they were playing in the swedish 4th division only 6 years ago when ex-stoke city and southampton player Graham Potter took over as manager. Ostersund is a small town of 50 000 people nearly at the arctic circle in northern Sweden. They beat giants such as Galatasaray and PAOK on their way to qualifying and are currently 1 - 0 up on Zorya!. Hopefully the snow and ice give them an advantage over Berlin and Bilbao, also in their group .

Stan Kroenke probably barely even knows he owns Arsenal.

Rob Holding kind of fascinates me. Either he won his spot in the Arsenal squad in some kind of lottery or he's tricked a lot of people in pro football into believing that he's actually some kind of talented footballer. Looks out of place in every single game.

Remember when Neymar left and Barca were in shambles and Real was going to coast to the league title? Things change pretty quick. Crisis time for Real.

7 points behind Barca already. Will be some mountain to climb.

meanwhile, La Liga has fined Celta Vigo for - and this is not a joke - not having enough people in the stands in their first two league games. Because, you know, it's important for TV audiences to see full stadiums.

So apparently there is rumor (subsequently denied) about PSG's Club President offered Edinson Cavani a 1M Euro bonus to let Neymar take the penalties.

Quote:
Paris Saint-Germain have told Le Parisien that a report that Edinson Cavani was offered €1 million by club president Nasser Al-Khelaifi to allow Neymar to take penalties is untrue.

Cavani and Neymar recently disagreed over a second-half free kick and a penalty during PSG's 2-0 home win over Lyon, and their public spat has led to reports of a rift between the pair.
http://www.espnfc.us/paris-saint-ger...-neymar-report

Wow. Just....wow.

If I'm the coach of PSG the fact that the President went right around me to the player or even vice-versa (which would be worse) would be my primary concern.
