I didn't collect a lot of new music this year, but two albums made me stand up and take notice.

Bon Iver: i,i

He just continues to impress me with his ingenuity while having traditional sound structures. Always a pleasure to listen to.



He even comes close to rocking out on one song.



Angel Olsen: All Mirrors

She's evolving from the quiet folk sound to a grander scale. This album is a major step forward for her.
