There are a couple that work moderately well, but nothing quite as good as pokevision.
Google your above question.
The lack of a reliable tracker has pretty well killed the game for me. Back to destiny I go.

Haha
I just went back to Destiny after a week of Pokemon Go.
It feels like in that time, all competent raiders have left.
Every team I've found myself in is full of people who have "totally done this a hundred times", yet constant die in the most humdrum encounters.

Missed a word, poorly thought out is a better word. Tracking adds an element of fun since you can chase these things down and hunt vs. every game session being a random pidgey safari.

I'm currently level 13. Caught a 720 Nidoking in our condo area earlier today. I still haven't gotten a Pikachu. That's my current goal.

Now that I am getting up in levels, I agree that "tracking" would add a new dimension to the game. Before, I was just walking around getting everything that popped up to get the most amount of XP that I could get. Now that I can start catching and evolving pokemon that could challenge at some gyms, I'd be more interested in tracking specific pokemon, rather than continuing to just wander.

You're still going to max out CP at around 400 for Pidgey and 600 for Drowzee, are you not?

Found 3 new Pokemon types in my neighbourhood today: Eakins, Golbat and Weepingbell.
I've noticed since this update that I'm getting more then just Pidgeys, eevee's and weedle's around my place.
Had a Taurous spotting at 3am on Saturday during that massive Thunderstorm but couldn't get him.

Caught a lapras today and swear I saw a ditto but may have been nothing. I was riding in the passenger seat and this pink blob came up on my map but there was nothing on my near by, I went to tap on it but it dissappeared right as I tapped it I still don't know what it was and it's really bugging me

Me too but time is running out and I'm reliant on wifi connections. I have seen the damn silouette several times on my tracker though and that is very frustrating.

Perhaps a Jigglypuff? They look like a pink blob on the screen when they pop up.

Are we sure about ditto? I was under the impression that would be South America's "exclusive" mon.
Was it a grey blob in the nearby or on the world map. If in world map it is probably a clefairy or jigglypuff

You can check the Pokedex. If you have seen something, but did not catch it, it should show up saying so.

Therevwasn't anything that looked like it in the near by I have no idea what it was I tried to click on it to catch it and it just disappeared I guess it could have been a jiggly puff but I have seen quite a few of those but my screen was zoomed out quite far

Could be a Lickitung - I caught one in my condo the other day.

Pidgeys, Weedles and Caterpies are awesome as they only take 12 candies to evolve. Build up your candies for each of them by catching and then transferring them. Catch a bunch more and when you are ready drop a lucky egg. The lucky egg doubles your XP for 30 minutes. Evolve as many of those 3 Pokemon as you can in those 30 minutes. You normally get 500XP, but with the lucky egg you get 1000XP for each evolve. If you have enough candy and creatures you can get 30000-40000 XP in a half hour.
