I mean, development isn't always on an upwards trajectory and there is still going to be the occasional bump along the way, maybe he took his opponent too lightly, maybe his opponent played great today, maybe Felix wasn't feeling great etc.

Tennis pundits were saying the same things about Borna Coric a while back, they thought he was going to be the next big thing and he stalled for a couple of years on the ATP tour before looking to figure things out over the last year, I think we can be patient with Felix.

Ok. i'm just worried because I watched the match. He looked awful.

Hopefully playing for Canada and being surrounded by peers next week will help him.

My kids no very little about tennis but when I have it on they'll stop what they are doing and ask if the "super hero mom" is playing.

Serena is awesome. And that she's a mom is inspiring kids.

Foot fault on match point with Serena serving followed by Serena rolling an ankle and Pliskova breaks. Serena still up 5-2 but only one break of serve.

Serena is really struggling with her left ankle and we're back on serve in this third set.

Oh man, Pliskova has saved four match points and it's 5-5 in the 3rd set.

Pliskova has won five straight games (was down 5-1) and is now serving for the match at 6-5

Thanks for the updates, dash. Been focused on the Flames game and just figured Serena would take it.

Pliskova takes the match winning the third set 7-5. On the one hand, such a shame that Serena twisted her ankle as she was dominating the match at that point. That said, Pliskova saved four match points and mounted a great comeback.

Always some excuse for Serena.

Pouille would like a re-start, 6 minutes in and it's 3-zip for Milos.

Wow.

The other guy got one serve returned in that game. It was a lame duck soft floater that Milos puts away at the net.

Absolute thunderbolts coming on his serve. And three quick games as well. Short points. All milos
