At some point this season, the big boys have to get moving and get the ground game going. It has vanished the last few games. As labour day comes and goes, running the ball becomes a big part as the games get bigger and bigger.
The D continues to carry this team. Some semblance of a run game would help them out immensely to grind some clock.

This should only be 1:30 left if our RB didn’t run out of bounds...

I was kinda neutral toward MOS before (maybe I was just happy he wasn't our coach) but since this mic'd up stuff has started he sounds like a mega ######r. Not nearly as whiny as Maas though. Anyway it looked like Jackson wasn't 100% or they would've gone to him more, hope he's ready for Labor Day.

I dont know about that actually. The O-line really struggled in run blocking today and as such Bo was forced to throw a ton. Dont think it had anything to do with Jacksons health.

I’m so glad Dickenson didn’t force the run today like he usually does. This OL simply can’t run block worth a crap and can barely pass protect. The coaching staff needs to get the OL sorted out in a bad way. The positive is that Dickenson took the shackles off the offense and played for the kill rather than play it safe. One wonders how big Mitchell’s numbers could be if he played for a team that was behind or in a lot of close games. Most of his career he’s been used to ball control offenses killing the clock in 2nd halves. Could have had 500 yards easy if not for a few innacurate throws.

It was nice to see guys give Jorden a pat on the shoulder at the bench after his fumble. Guy goes on to catch for 250 yards. Wow.
I would like to see the offence manage the clock and game more in the late stages. The long pass to Jorden was an excellent throw and catch but in October and November playing with a one or two score lead in the last 5 minutes I’d rather see a clock eating drive by the offence.
This team still relies on too many big plays for me on offence

Honestly when a team is blitzing that aggressively into the gaps and playing man to man you tear the top off of that defense which is what the Stamps did.

Fair enough. Bo was money in the 2nd half with those reads. . I just keep thinking about how this offence will look in November. I’d still like to see a more conservative game from the offence. Hopefully we will see more of that in October

Bo likes to sling the ball deep but Dickenson runs one of the more conservative offenses in the league. Today's game was kind of an outlier as I'm not sure what team you have been watching over the past few seasons but Dave rarely goes against the percentages and plays ball control when the team has a lead.
