Good morning cricket fans!
Chasing 240, India are 92-6 in the 31st over.
I repeat, India are 92-6 in the 31st over!
Spectacular bowling and fielding from New Zealand!

It's happening! Yeah just brilliant bowling and fielding. India now needs a miracle from Dhoni.
The Indian batsmen deserve to take some heat. They got overconfident seeing New Zealand's low total when it looks like 239 was actually an okay score considering the conditions.

India need 9 per over with 9 overs left. Doable, but tense.

Should have known India would make it close. 52 required from 30 balls. This is intense. What a game!

Yay! What an upset. I thought Dhoni might just get it. That run out by Guptil was huge.

Close game and a fun game. Tomorrow's semi has a chance to be a classic as well.

India made it close when I didn't think they would even hit 150. Excellent statement game from Jadeja as I think he should be a regular in the ODI side for India.
Don't think overconfidence was an issue for the Indian batsmen, NZ just bowled brilliantly and India is one of the weakest sides when it comes to facing left arm seamers in English/Aus/NZ/SA conditions and Boult is one of the best at it. Another reason I don't think overconfidence was an issue was that a bowler like Santner was bowling at an economy rate of 1 through his first 6 overs.
Since my team is out, I am on the NZ bandwagon to win it all.

Late to the party, but still buzzing from the win this morning. You don't often see reactions from the umpires, but Kettleborough's reaction as he called for the third umpire on the runout of Dhoni tells a story about how big a moment that was in the context of the match and the World Cup.
Looking forward to another classic tomorrow. Will be interesting to see if we get a rematch of the 2015 final, or if the home team will get a chance to win in front of their fans.
Just goes to show, in cricket anything can happen on the day.

Damn I'm still buzzing today. What a game. I hereby propose all ODIs to be played over two days.
Overconfident is probably the wrong word but I will at least say India failed to adjust to the conditions. In the after match interview Kane Williamson mentioned when looking at the wicket he thought it was batter friendly however after playing on it realised it was the opposite so they adjusted their strategy to get 240 as a good score. When India came out to bat it was like they learned nothing from the Kiwi innings and were playing like 240 was an easy target. If India maintains even one of those early wickets it's a much different game.
I can't wait for the game tonight. Go Aussies!

I havent been watching the second semi final (needed some sleep after the last two nights) but now I've woken up to see Australia all out for 223. Anyone watching? How was the innings?
Have to think England have a good shot here, but Australia have a formidable bowling attack as well.

The Aussie top order collapsed with Finch on a golden duck and Warner out not much later for 9. Smith had a great innings to recover and it looked like 240 was possible but unluckily he was run out on a throw that no lie glanced off his nuts.
It’s not looking good for Australia. They need wickets quick.

Ho boy. Bowling Steve Smith was a mistake, as Jason Roy hits him for three straight sixes!

Just following commentary on cricinfo, apparently Roy dismissal was a bad a call - sucks for him for missing out on a 100.

Yeah they even showed the ultra edge, he didn't make contact at all. It was a shocking call and if this were a closer game it would live in infamy.
The real shame was Bairstow wasting their review one over earlier on an obvious lbw, so Roy couldn't even review it.

Our finalists are now set. RIP Australia and India. We will have a new champion for the first time since 1996!
Will New Zealand's bowling attack neutralise England's batting?
Will England's bats continue their dominance?
Will Martin Guptill's confidence return at the crease after his incredible direct hit on MS Dhoni?
Will Ben Stokes stick it to his country of birth?
Will someone please explain to me why it's ok for one side of Lord's to be 2.5m higher than the other, making the entire field sloped?
New Zealand vs England at Lord's this Sunday. Can't wait!

Damn what an ass kicking. Other than the Smith Carey partnership it was complete domination from the English. Hopefully Australia will get revenge in the Ashes.
I kind of feel a bit for NZ, they make the finals of back to back world cups and both times face the hosts. Hopefully they have one more big upset in them.

I wonder if Steve Waugh was on hand to make sick burns about the run rate.
