I don't disagree at all. With 170 odd people voting it helps some of the outliers like those 6 or when Bear gets a 3rd place vote. It accounts for the crazies and I think a lot of people know which ones those are. At least the votes are made public so we know which voters to tune out when they get on their soapbox.

It was just an amazing year for this race. 30 goals as a rookie and it's just "Not even close" to those two.

30 goals is impressive, but it's nothing crazy. And he only had 16 assists.
However, he did it in a limited number of games.

If a rookie scored 40 goals, that would be more interesting.

It's nice to see defensemen being considered over forwards though. This rarely happens with the Hart.
