And a break for Felix to start set 2 with Ruud putting a pretty easy forehand into the net. Let's go FAA!!
Edit: That's a big hold from 15-40 down to consolidate the break.

Ruud just made an incredible shot to get back on serve in set 2.

Win or lose, this is the best I've seen Felix play this year. Currently on serve in set 2, but the only reason is that Casper just played two phenomenal games.
Edit: Big hold by Felix just now to halt the Ruud run at 2 games.

This is the best he has played by a wide margin in a very long time. Hopefully it is enough to vanquish Ruud who is maybe the 2nd or 3rd best player on tour right now.
I like his chances as long as he doesn't tighten up and abandon the net approaches which have been phenomenal today.

I'm shocked. Ruud was arguably playing as good as anyone on clay so far this season. I don't want to get ahead of myself but maybe it was just a matter of Felix finally getting fully healthy as it appears he's slowly started to regain his mojo.

Maybe he saw all the negativity on social media and decided this was his best way of telling us to "stuff it" lol

Sinner has a hip injury and said he might pull out of his QF match against Felix

He does have a day off to rest and recover, but it first flared up in his match yesterday versus Kotov. He did manage to push through to eliminate Khachanov today.

Jiri Lehecka all class today taking out Rafa in Madrid - That was a pretty hostile crowd at times today and he blocked it out very well.

Nadal. “I’m gonna try to play in Rome. A very special tournament in my career. I won 10 times. I dreamt to play all these tournaments one more time. I missed Monte Carlo. But now I want to play Rome. And play well. Give myself a chance to make that happen. Today is an unforgettable day. Saying goodbye to Madrid. But my career keeps going”.

I’m kind of torn about the Rafa farewell tour. While it’s great to see him play again, I kind of feel sad seeing him lose on clay to guys like de Minaur and Lehecka. Feels wrong.

Bweh is up a break in set 3 after a pretty dominant 2nd set over Charlie.
Edit: Make it a double break.

Andrey sends Charlie packing 4-6 6-3 6-2. Definitely think there's still something wrong with Charlie's arm, he was back to wearing the sleeve today and just didn't see the same power behind his strokes today. Credit to Bweh though, he played a very good match today.

Also, if Meddy wins his match on Thursday, he will jump to 3rd and push Charlie down to #4 in the live rankings.

To me it's like when your favorite band does a farewell tour. Yes it's your last chance ever to see them so of course you go and enjoy the show but you can't help but notice they aren't as sharp or crisp as when you first saw them. Just enjoy the music because soon it will be silent.

MTO for Medvedev early in his match versus Lehecka (looks like a groin or hip issue).
