Bookings opened up here today - so glad to get both our boys booked for next Wednesday. The last people I wanted to get protected are so close…

Booked my young ones in for December. They just had their flu shots so we need to wait the 14 days before we can get it.

I've had both Pfizer and I'm not eligible yet, but the data seems good.
The safety profile seems to be just as good as well.

What's the benefit to waiting? I'm not eligible yet and would take it assuming its approved and safe, but is there a reason to wait for it?

Same here. So glad we can get our eldest vaccinated. Our youngest will still have to wait.

Does anyone have advice on if I should get my 11-year-old vaxxed with the child dosage vaccine now or wait for the calendar change to get her the full adult dosage?
Also curious as to the plan for those that are 11 for their first dose but 12 when the time comes around for the 2nd dose, how is it determined which version they get on the 2nd dose?

Not to be ignorant, but why in the world would you want to wait to get the NovaVax vaccine? Is it because you don't trust the safety profile of the MRNA vaccines which have only been injected into 2 B I L L I O N people so far??????????????? Is it because you want to try out something that's "brand new" (although not really, I get it - based on old tech, blah blah blah). Or, is it because it gives you just one more excuse not to get the vaccine and to extend the "Slayer" argument?
Hey, BTW, I haven't seen any Slayer posts recently? Did he catch Covid and die?
Edit: Sorry Azure, I guess I read far too quickly and see that you were asking about it for a booster. In no way am I implying that you are an antivax quack job.

This is the problem with talking about anything covid related. Azure makes a completely reasonable post about being interested in Novavax, notes that he is fully vaccinated, and gets this.

Got my son booked for next Friday. Had a couple of times available for this Friday show up but were gone by the time I clicked submit. Would like to get it done sooner but he’s missed quite a bit of school lately due to various things and he has baseball Sunday and Monday too. Figured that he would not feel well or say that he doesn’t feel well to get out of school so Friday it is. There’s no way he misses baseball.
I am really interested to see how other kids do so, please update the thread.

Strange take. I've been double vaccinated since early summer.
But in all seriousness, there seems to be some good data around mixing the mRNA vaccines, and I'm curious how the Novavax will act in combination of two mRNA shots. The safety profile is very good, and the effectiveness is top notch as well.
Plus I support Canadian made products.
