Bad host decision for social media action turns into bad show, more at eleven. Now after this and their lowest rated show last week they have a hole to dig out of. Her and Elon Musk were just painful and so predictable. They're catering to the drama and discussion on social media because everyone thinks that clicks and views online are all that matter now.
Maybe they should try Jeff Bezos so they can soak up everyone talking about it online only to cheapen their show a little more when the actual skits start and a total non actor or comedian can't do a single ****ing thing on a show like that. Like **** guys.
Yup, that was a pretty awful show. Weekend Update was solid as usual, and the Grown Women in the Club sketch was pretty funny. But those were the only highlights IMO. Hopefully they can rebound with Rami Malek next week.
That skit with Aidy and the hostess was cringeworthy. Was it a troll job by the writers to see if the hostess was basically a ####ty enough person to actually do it?
I couldn't even bring myself to watch this weeks episode.

The repeat episode of SNL this past Sat. was from Oct. 18, 1997. Brendan Fraser was the host and Bjork was the musical guest. I really enjoyed it and I think it was selected for Norm MacDonald of his death. The skit with Molly Shannon tackling Fraser and his wig coming off was hilarious. Eric Dickerson was in a skit mocking Monday Night Football with MacDonald and Will Ferrell.
The sketch about everyone making a hard seltzer made me laugh, that was about it.

Shane Gillis, who was fired/cancelled after it was discovered he had made china town jokes on a podcast, has been making the rounds on the comedy podcast circuit. I thought he was destined for the "SNL rejects who you never hear from again" pile, but he's put out a comedy special to some acclaim and he's starting to amass some funny skits on youtube:

Were they wearing masks or make up last night in a few sketches?
The opening football coach scandal skit was the Grunden character wearing a mask/make up? And the celeb school show, who was Adam Driver and was it a mask or make up? It looked unnatural and was distracting.
Melissa Villasenor as Kristen Wiig was great, she is really under utilized.

She’s my favourite cast member. I really don’t get how little we see her.
