Wasn't able to vote for any Heat players when I submitted my awards ballot but I definitely would have voted for Mackey if I could've.

I have not seen a lot of Connor Mackey. Is he Cale Makar or Adam Fox good?

Those are NHL all star quality defensemen at very young ages. But if Mackey can earn a regular turn in the top 6 that would be a homerun signing for this club.

He’s pretty old for a prospect. He’ll be 25 next year and could be our third oldest D.

Considering the quality of the Canadian Division in the AHL, ‘Canadian Division All-Star’ is a slightly warmer compliment than ‘The Leper With The Most Fingers’. He may turn out to be a good NHL player, but you couldn't tell it from this.

He’s not even as good in the minors as those guys are good in the NHL
