I guess if youíre the type of person who can manage to see on the CP front page an active YYCCC thread, in the midst of a municipal election, and then not bother to check what people are discussing, you could conceivably miss it.

We should just have one thread for all topics.

It was beyond that, he put armed guards up at the door to threaten to shoot anyone (politically speaking) who did try to get into the control room and move us away from the iceberg.

And it's an iceberg nearly everyone on the boat saw coming and were yelling about, while he was telling us it was an illusion.

Fuzz I think we all know Kenneyís stance on aborting things at any stage. If he wonít stand up for the rights of vacations whether they are planned or unplanned, who will?

Also, I saw the new YCCCC thread that was "as requested", and couldn't find any such requests in the old one. Turns out the requests are in the AB politics thread. What a world we live in!

Um. Not sure what is happening here - is he taking over a role to get the extra pay? Or are they just giving him a random raise or?

Just really weird, as reporter doesn't even understand/know what's going on.

I for one, think that the UCP are working hard enough that they should all get raises.

Nurses? Hell no.

$10M raised off of Albertans for...52 jobs (32 of them seasonal) and two visitor centres that we had before the Kananaskis Tax.

Also, paying for Kananaskis is now part of the "recovery plan" apparently. Not sure how a user fee is recovery, but ok. Perhaps by Kenney logic we should call the Carbon Tax the "Oil and Gas Recovery Tax"

The benefit though is now that the fee is in place the political capital to put it in has been spent. This means that future governments have a revenue stream to improve parks with. This is a good thing.

Now did anyone really want more conservation officers in the parks for rule enforcement or were people looking for capital investment in trails / day use / parking?

Or a future government could "get rid of the unnecessary overhead of a parks pass system" and benefit voters by eliminating a user fee(everyone hates user fees) and go back to funding them from general revenue. Seems an easy win as a ballot issue. I know I'd run on that.

So basically a consumption tax as part of recovery.

This, amongst skyrocketing insurance rates, utility bills, and egregious money burning projects.

Seems to be the path to recovery is fraught with bottom line dings.

10/10, would recover again.

$10M for 20 FT jobs and 32 seasonal jobs seems pretty reasonable, no? And on top of that, not just one, but TWO visitor centres that we already had before this user pass! What more could you want cause I think you're just getting greedy.

P.S. Still no tax to enter McLean Creek because apparently that's not part of Kananaskis.

That's a Matt Wolf, Brock Harrison or Blaise Boehmer right there.

Unbelievable stuff in the public domain coming from the official elections body of Alberta on ELECTION DAY.
