Default CP 2024 Ordered Draft List (April 9th Edition) #12

Each pick you choose who you would take if you were the Flames GM. Not a mock draft of the standings. Who the Flames would pick at #2 (skipping #1) through say #12 or greater if we see the value.

When done we will have CP consensus list for the Flames.

I'll run a few a day with a cut off around total votes so this doesn't take two weeks to complete.

We can run it weekly to see how things change.

RESULTS:

1. Celebrini (not voted)
2. Demidov
3. Dickinson
4. Levshunov
5. Lindstrom
6. Iginla
7. Catton
8. Parekh
9. Buium
10. Yakemchuk
10. Eiserman

Thinking it would make sense to be the last round?

Agreed. The Flames first pick shouldn't fall past here and it's too early to go all the way down to the VCR pick. I'd be more interested in re-running the top 12 in a few weeks - maybe start of May.

For me, this was a toss-up between Greentree and Hage, but Hage has looked better lately.

I voted Silayev again because I've been voting for him the whole time, after Bob Mckenzie's mid-year ranking talked me into him. But now you folks have successfully talked me out of him. So: when we do this again in a few weeks, I will not vote for Silayev the whole time again.

Should at least go to 13. Flames could fall to 11th pick and also could drop to 13th after the lottery.

He is a very skilled player, a lot like Catton..Had a slow start because he had lost his father to an accident in the summer. Once he got his head back in the game he was pure fire. Great stickhandler and he has no issues driving the net. Great edgework and very shifty. Sees the ice well and is an above average passer. I think he is going to use his families tragedy as inspiration to get to the show and be an impact player and he definitely has the tools. Someone is going to get a steal with this kid imo.

What's wrong with Silayev? Other than i've been picking him since 3!

Central has him #1 in Europe.

People are apprehensive of players who are that tall.

Silayev came out of the gates at almost a point per game clip and he was the consensus #2 at that time. He's 6'7 and has a good skillset. He's playing 15 minutes / game as a 17 year old in the KHL full-time. However, as the season progressed, his offensive numbers plummeted and I think people are worried that he could be more like a Zadorov than a Hedman.
