It doesn't work that wat way, no. We're just worsening our pick, and may very well push ourselves outside the top 10 at this point.

That's irrelevant to what's happening in the last week of games, lol.

People are understandably upset, because we are killing our chances of winning the lottery by winning these last few pointless games.

On top of that, the level of players you get from a top 6 pick and the extra choices you have is much different than being pick 11.

We are doing the most Flames thing possible, winning the last games of the year and ruining the draft pick. It is kind of funny, because of course this is what was going to happen!

Nah, the only thing embarrassing here is you expecting or wanting those players to have the same mentality as the fans during these kinds of situations.

No player is wired to lose. No player is going to go out there and lose on purpose. More than half the players on the team right now won't be on the Flames when the this first rounder even gets a sniff of legit NHL playing time. Those players are playing for contracts, playing for jobs. They don't care about your(and others including me) desire for them to be in the bottom 7-8 spots.

It's not embarrassing for the franchise. Get real.

When the 7th team wins the lottery I bet the “too much winning” comment rolls out a lot.

The real embarrassment are the couch GMs wanting the players to just give up at the end of the season when games don't matter. That doesn't breed good culture going forward. Plus, fans pay money to see them play.

I realized I’m never going to have to watch another Arizona Coyotes game again, and that makes me happy.

They gave up 5 goals to the Coyotes - short of pulling Wolf up a goal, what do you want them to do?

They weren't gonna lose every game, some people realize this and just enjoy a game. Also the best player in franchise history was drafted 11th overall fyi

Yeah letting any of Arizona, Montreal, Ottawa by this season was a tall order. At least Coronato and Zary both counted goals, and if Kadri and Kuzmenko can keep clicking gor next year it should build up some value. Find a third player with a K surname to play on that line tempt fate...hell move Kylington to forward and let him play there

6th pick was a pipe dream. 7th was a stretch. Look at the schedule.

We don’t want the Flames to give up. We want Ingram to seal the post.

Flames were one game under .500 when they traded Zadorov...they are one game under .500 now with a butt load of futures

Conroy has done an amazing job

Can't possibly argue with that; I agree.

Just wish we would lose these meaningless games. The next time we make the playoffs, I'd love to hear it was because we had a comeback win against Arizona in April 2024 that gave everybody "confidence".

Pretty much every game in the OOT was going our way for quite a while there. Now, a few have gone the wrong way. The Flames have out-tanked every team that they are in contention with, since the trade deadline. So complaining about a win really comes off as whining.
