Does anyone remember Persian Gulf Inferno for Amiga. First realistic shotgun sounds I had ever heard. Maybe a tad bit off side by today's standards, but it was a damn good game.

You mean it really makes you feel like an attack helicopter?

If you are into old school 2D shooters then i can't recommend Blazing Chrome enough. It came out last year on the e-shop and is basically a love letter to classic Contra and other shooters of the day. Tight controls, fun weapons and vehicles, cool stages and boss fights.

Jungle Strike was awesome! There was a third one too, Urban Strike and then later Nuclear Strike for the PC, but it was awful.

Jungle Strike had the hovercraft mission.

Is there any emulator that would let you play 2 player NES/SNES online? Looking to get my Dr. Mario on. Preferably something that works across PC/Mac but I assume that's a stretch.

I still play Ken Griffey Baseball on the SNES from time to time. Super Tecmo Bowl too.

I've been wanting to go back and redo the first Legend of Zelda.

I started Fallout New Vegas about 8 years ago but I just didn't get far. I've been thinking about picking it up again from the start. I hope to have some free time to do so soon.

RetroArch has had netplay for years, and supports nearly every device you can think of

Jungle Strike had the hovercraft mission.

Outright loved those games, the first couple Desert and Jungle were great plays and pretty complex for their time including finding radar sites to take down Sam sites so you could sneak in to your target.

If I remember with Urban Strike you could fly a stealth fighter as well. But my memory is blurry. Nuclear Strike was terrible because it tried to do too much.

I managed to get my kids playing River City Ransom on my original NES a couple of years ago. Might have to hook it up again and beat up some clowns for spending money.

BARF!

Great game!
I really don’t know how the programmers left such an OP move like Fatal steps in the game

If you haven’t played them, I would also look into Scott Pilgrim vs the World and RCR’s sequel, River city Girls.

Jungle Strike had the stealth fighter. Thing was a PIA to land and you had to line it up just right. There was also a mission where you got to drive a motorbike.

Urban Strike had iirc two missions where you had to land the chopper and go in on foot. One was on an oil rig, can't remember the other one. The oil rig one was also where you got to fly a cargo helicopter to pick up people from a sinking cruise ship.

Found browser versions of all of the strike games, I've started playing desert strike and cleared the first mission.

So much fun forgot that you had a lot to do on each mission.

I downloaded Jedi Outcast on PS4 for a replay cause it was only a couple bucks. This game is either:

Very unforgiving
Games have gotten easier, essentially spoon feeding you til the end
I just suck at games
or I cheated like a mofo back in the day

Outcast has ten times the heart Fallen Order did. Would like to see more LucasArts Jedi Knight games released on PS4.

I go darkside every single time in that game, just because I really hate Kyle.

You don't even need to provide a reason! Anyone who has read your Star Wars posts would have probably guessed you would play dark side, haha.

And force lightning is the best force power in the game too

You truly understand the satisfaction Palpatine experienced when he applied force lightning on Luke in RotJ

After multiple failed tries, I got so frustrated when I fought with my first lightsaber welding reborn, I figured he couldn’t block all of the intense high rate of fire of heavy repeater glory. It took 75% of my ammo, but was worth it
