We’re watching Making a Murderer. We’re enjoying it but, man, they drag it out with tonnes of detail that, in my opinion, could be trimmed so the series could be shortened. Now that we’re almost caught up I think there was a thread here that I’ll have to find and read.

Yeah, Making a Murderer lost me in the first episode where it was dragging on. Then the hype train came in and I forced myself to continue and there's a good payoff. I didn't watch part 2, but the first series was good by the end. It could have definitely been trimmed. Now, The Keepers was so well done, and didn't get the fanfare Making a Murderer did, but that's a crazy story.

The man sure loved his three-peats, even managed one for retirements.

I tried to see through the bias of the series as much as possible. I think it can be assumed he was an absolute bully as a teammate, but also someone who understood he needed to get as much out of his teammates as possible in order to achieve his goals.

My perception is there is a chance he was a decent guy off the court despite this, but who knows.

Seeing how the media chased him down/badgered him etc makes me realize there is very low odds for anyone in a position of celebrity to be "normal". They just aren't allowed to be.

Finally got caught with podcast viewing, and got around to watching Sunderland Til I Die. I loved it. As a long-time Flames fan, I really sympathize with those people. And that song is now stuck in my head.

It made me sad, realizing that it features Carrie Fisher, Anthony Bourdain, Jerry Stiller (who Ben talks about), and Fred Willard who have all died fairly recently.

Even Marc Maron, who recently lost his wife.

The Outer Banks is just the kind of trash TV I need right now. It's a treasure hunting/coming of age/due-bro 10-ep series.

The show reminds me a bit of the 2004 movie Into the Blue. Goes a bit Goonies as the show progresses. Throw in some Mean Girls, Point Break, and National Treasure (the first, not the second) and you've got a party.

Space Force is not getting good reviews. Sounds like a real dud.

I'm just about to start it.

I for one am shocked that Mr. Epstein is not the upstanding law-abiding citizen he portrays himself as.

Shocked. Shocked I tell you.

I guess what I'm saying is that when I'm watching, its not Epstein that I care about at all really, but rather all of the individuals and institutions that looked the other way because it was easy.

I don’t get Steve Carell. When I see him in pretty much anything, I can tell that he thinks he is funny, but I don’t.

It seems some people clearly agree with him. He does keep getting work

Watching Modern Family for the first time. Pretty good except for whoever plays "Lily"
whenever she's on is cringeworthy

Yes! Almost as bad as Vin Diesel.

Was looking SOOOOO forward to SpaceForce and couldn't even finish the first episode. Steve Carell's acting is so over the top and fake. He really shouldn't have done TV again because it's almost impossible not to compare him to Michael Scott.

Great ensemble cast but my goodness, what a let down.

Space force is okay. Definitely not super funny yet.
Carrel isn't great two episodes in, but the rest of the cast is pretty enjoyable. John Malkovich is one of my favorite actors though, so I might be biased.

I don't really get what Space Force is trying to be. Political satire, dramedy, sitcom, over-the-top goofy, parody...it hits notes all over the place that just don't go together.

The elements are there and the talent is there, but I don't think the writing is. The good parts have been good enough to have kept me in, but there's a lot of disjointed elements dragging it down, IMO.

Season 4 aired a year ago. Do you mean Season 5? Because I've been waiting for that.

Yeah, it really is all over the place.
I want it to be better than it is. It pulls punches when it has the opportunity to be really funny.
