Nice to see Honzek get hot lately. First muti point game in his pro career 2g + 1a (other goal was an EN). Riding a 3 game point streak. 7 points in his last 7 games.

Yup, in 2021-22 he was second only to Wyatt Johnston in OHL scoring with an incredible 43 goals (6th-overall) and 118 points.

Dec.11th:
The best team in the AHL keeps rollin', with a 6-3 victory over Manitoba.
-First star is my boy, Hunter Brzustewicz with 1g, 1a, and +2. He has 7 points in the last 6 games for a stat line of 24gp/1g/8a/9pts,+2, 2 PIM. Very exciting!
-Second star is Sam Honzek, with 2g, 1a, and a +3. He has 7 points in the last 7 games, for 15gp/4g/6a/10pts,+6, 8 PIM. Again, very exciting!
-Third star is Clark Bishop with 1g, 2a, and a +2. He is tied for 17th in AHL scoring with 25gp/11g/10a/21pts,+8, 11 PIM.
-Ignatjew stops 31 of 34. 5-2-1-0, with 3.72 GAA, and a .882 SV%.
-Frk gets 1g, 2a, and a +3. He's put up 13 points in the last 10 games for 21gp/6g/10a/16pts,+1, 14 PIM.
-Also getting points were Kerins (1a), Hunt (1a), Klapka (1g), and Aspirot (1a).
-Klapka has 11gp/6g/5a/11pts,+8, 24 PIM. Quite impressive.
-Kerins sits atop the AHL scoring race (second in goals and plus/minus), with 25gp/17g/11a/28pts,+16, 8 PIM.
-Kuznetsov leads the league in plus/minus (+17), followed by Kerins, with Solovyov and Hunt (+14) tied for 3rd with D Ethan Bear of Hershey.
-Hunt is tied for 6th in scoring with 23gp/6g/18a/24pts,+14, 18 PIM.
-Solovyov is tied for 7th in scoring by D, with 21gp/4g/10a/14pts,+14, 6 PIM.

Bru and Honzo beginning to find their way. Reminds me of Stromgren in his first AHL season. He started to pick things up around the holidays as well

Always look forward to your update Sandman. Check them at night and first thing in the morning! Hunter seems to be hitting his stride and is 11th in rookie D scoring in the AHL. Outside of Mateychuk, Cagnoni, and Casey, he's right up there. Who knows, lots of games left and he may just be starting to roll! Very exciting!
I also think both Pelletier and Duehr have looked good in their recent call up. Hopefully that encourages the Flames to start giving some of these guys an extended look this year.

That's it... I'm going to start going to more Wranglers games. These future Flames that are coming into their own right now seems too exciting to pass up in person.

They are definitely worth watching, I ended up spending the money and getting a flohockey subscription (which still kind of annoys me as AHL TV was way cheaper) because the games are so fun. I honestly am just as excited this year watching the wranglers as the flames, the games tend to have it all, high scoring, big hits, fights. Not to mention watching guys like bru, honzek, kerins, stromgren etc is super fun.
I don't live in Calgary anymore, but I am planning on going to a few games while I'm back over Christmas. They are worth every penny live as well.

Honzek seems all the skill and smarts are there. He could be really impactful with a bit more strength as he matures. He only turned 20 a month ago.

Agreed, but what's been impressing me since camp is not only his excellent workrate, but the fact that he's using his size and reach to win battles, protect the puck, and disrupt plays. He's not afraid to drop the shoulder and lean into guys to drive the net. When he gets bigger and stronger, he'll be a beast to handle.
