I'm a recent UofC Electrical Engineering graduate who is looking for entry-level work in any field (not just engineering) to add on my resume.
Any general office experience (especially in downtown Calgary) would be great.

Not looking for a job yet...but the producer I work at is starting to go through the divestment process. With any luck I'll have no job by August.
Anyone on CalPuck in HR/staffing in Energy (oil and gas or renewables)...PM me and let me know. I'll send over a resume and can see whats out there. I'm a 16yr engineer, VP Ops, all oil experience. Basically ran a 800bopd junior. Looking for a senior role in O&G or a more intermediate role in renewables.

I'm looking to shift career gears - having been working in the fitness industry for the past 14 years I'm looking to enter a new field.
Most of my duties over the past four years have been more administrative than fitness-based, so I am experienced in data entry, record keeping, general accounting and scheduling. Pre-fitness I studied history and political science, so I'm comfortable conducting research and data retrieval.
Due to my fitness background I am able to lift heavy objects safely and repeatedly, so physical work is no issue either.
I have current certification in Standard First Aid, CPR/AED Level C; CSEP Certified since 2010.
if anyone has suggestions, advice, leads or the like fire me a PM. Thanks.

WANTED: PT Garage Door Tech
I’m currently looking for somebody looking for PT (to start) work for my Garage Door repair company…. Experience with springs, cables, opener installs etc.
If you might be interested drop me a line - as it’s PT piece meal work I’m fairly open to discussing how we can make it work… Hope/plan would be to transition into FT in the future as need arises. Let’s grab a coffee and chat…
If you know someone be happy buy them a coffee too!

I wasnt sure if I should start a new thread or not, so i'll try bumping this and seeing what happens.
I am looking for advice on career counselling. I am an unemployed IT technician (specializing in Desktop support/intermediate server) who recently tried to go down the IT Business Analyst path. Since moving back to Alberta 2 years ago (and having to leave my position in BC) I have nothing but trouble trying to find stable employment. Talking with people during interviews and following up after getting rejected, I am in a weird spot where I am over qualified for Tier 1/2 support positions, and not enough real life experience in BA work.
The market has left me feeling completely vulnerable, insecure, and terrified on the future. I don't know if I even want to do IT work anymore based on the lack of roles and my lack of having recent and relevant certifications.
I am struggling with deciding what new career path (if any) to go down and would love to talk to a professional to help forge a path forward.
With my EI quickly running out, I am desperate to do a few things:
1: find employment really of any sort to pay the bills
2: discuss with a professional about a potential career change.
3: secure some stability.
Any advice is welcomed and encouraged.
