Seriously though, the schedule is actually quite good to start the season. I know people like road trips, as a bonding thing, but the fact of the matter is that home stands allow for practice time. And the Flames won't spend a night on the road until Nov 6th. That's a full month of practice days (minus game days) to work on lines, special teams, etc.
While there is obviously a lot of work to do with respect to chemistry, and getting this team to where it needs to be, the schedule is actually pretty terrific for them. I actually expect that they will get off to a fairly strong start from the first 10 games
