Ovechkin came in for a hit on Dougie, who jumped out of the way.

As Ovechkin got up he skated by the Carolina bench and made a chicken gesture. It was pretty great.

The Hurricanes are out shooting the Capitals 11-6 so far in a 1-1 tie. Connolly and Foegele have scored the goals.

Im not sure how he was a "chicken" in that scenario...i mean is he just supposed to stand there and get steam rolled?

I believe that's called missing a check.

If anything that clip make Ovie look bad. He looked so slow coming in at Hamilton.

Yeah, Ovi came out of that looking pretty silly. You missed a check, not a big deal. Throwing up the chicken wings is pretty stupid.
