Interesting to see NHL/AHL journeyman Tyson Strachan as a tryout. He would bring a veteran presence to the blue line and a much needed right shot if he does get signed. Was cut from the Coyotes on a PTO.
Most of the new name tryouts are from the ECHL affiliate Mavericks, so wouldn't get too excited about them. Likely only around to fill out practice rosters until the Flames assign more players to Stockton and ECHL camps start up.

The Heat played an afternoon game in San Jose today. Parsons played the first two periods and stopped all 21 shots he faced. McDonald came in for the third and allowed one goal, and another in OT. The Heat lost 2-1 in OT.
Mike McMurtry scored the lone goal for the Heat on the PP (assists to Foo and Ollas-Mattsson).
By all accounts, Parsons looked great and made a few spectacular saves.

any ideas on potential line combos and pairings?
My guess without seeing any games or hearing any reports would be something like:
Mangiapane-Jankowski-Foo
Shinkaruk-Hrivik-Poirier
Cramorossa-Klimchuk-Hathaway
Gazdic-Pelley-Lomberg
Findlay-Pollock-Smith
Pribyl(inj)- Carroll
Kylington-Andersson
Wotherspoon-Healy
AOM-Doetzel
Yevenko
is Robak signed? if so i assume he gets top 4 minutes.

The Stockton Heat, proud AHL affiliate of the NHL’s Calgary Flames, announced today that the club has signed veteran defensemen Cody Goloubef and Colby Robak to AHL contracts. In addition, the club has assigned goaltender Tyler Parsons and forward Mike McMurtry to the club’s ECHL affiliate, the Kansas City Mavericks and have released Dylan Olsen and Dan Maggio from their tryouts.
