How have the new Calgary Flames defenders performed so far?
Heading into Saturday night’s game in Vancouver, MacKenzie Weegar is the only Calgary Flames blueliner to have played in all of the team’s games this season. Typically, a team using a lot of defencemen is a product of injuries, performance challenges, trades or combinations of those factors.
Daily Faceoff’s Frank Seravalli dove deep with Calgary Flames GM Craig Conroy at the GM meetings
As the dust continues to settle following one of the more tumultuous first years of any GM in recent memory – certainly in Flames history – our pal Frank Seravalli of Daily Faceoff caught up with Conroy at the recent GM meetings in Florida.
'It's Definitely An Honour'
Receiving a nomination for the Hobey Baker Award – which is given annually to the top player in NCAA Men’s Hockey – was a pleasant surprise for the Lafayette, Col., product.
“It’s definitely an honour,” said Morton. “I owe a thank you to my teammates because they are a big reason my name is on that list.”
Barn Burner: Frank Seravalli talks Flames free agency plans, rushing the rebuild, and next season’s goaltending tandem
Frank kicked off the conversation with a surprising bit of information he discovered in his interview with Conroy on the Flames free agency plans.
“I was certainly surprised to hear this when Craig Conroy said it, but he’s excited and looking forward to free agency,” Frank started.

Oh, right...there are still hockey games left to play. Been a while for the Flames...I wonder if they look rusty or energized tonight.

This game still means something to me as Flames fan living, working, and chirping my friends here in Vancouver. I would love the hungry hyenas to dummy the Canucks and fuel drama in the media going down the stretch.
Go Flames!

I'll be there sitting row 11 behind the Canucks net.
I will be very loud and try my best to embarrasse the 3 canucks fans I'm going with!

It has been so long since the Flames last played, it felt like the offseason already. Don't care about wins and losses at this point, just player development. Go Flames!

I want the Canucks to fail and I want them to suck on the bitter taste of Buyer's Remorse for Lindholm.

It's sort of annoying when you know that the Oil fans want the Flames to win.

Debating going to this game. I don't think it will be a good one, the layoff will hurt the Flames. Still, haven't been to a game in a few years.

A loss is a big 0 points
A win embarrasses the canucks
Should be a good game

Big game to get in top 10 at draft.
And Van needs to stay top team to have LV and Oilers 1st round match up.

Sorry but the Canucks can go suck it. Go Flames! They can beat some other team and we can lose to some other team.
