it really sucks when you know in advance that you'll get absolutely spanked by your biggest rival and then go out after a 4-0 defeat like "well, that could have been even worse". This truly is the darkest timeline.

Souness just now saying that if you had to pick your best team of the 22 players on the pitch there would be no United players.
Can't argue with that. Not one single player showed up.

If I was Bailly I'd be looking to gtfo of the club this summer.

Hadn't watched much Man Utd this season, but based on this game there's just a nothingness to them, just absolute non-entities. At any time over the last few decades, the thought of beating them twice in the season with an aggregate score of 9-0 would've been astounding, wildest dreams stuff but now it's just a "yeah, good result"

I'm not even sure it's because they didn't show up.

They are just outclassed, and out managed.

nah, "they didn't show up" is very accurate. This is a squad that has cost a ####lot of money, it's not like they can't play football ... they just don't seem to care. Sure, Liverpool is an outstanding team, but the difference in attitude weighs much bigger than the difference in quality. Hannibal showed more fight in a few minutes than most of the others in 90 minutes, that's the problem.

Ten Hag will not stand a snowball's chance in hell unless they allow him to completely burn that #### down and re-build it. I doubt it.

Fans at Tuesday's Premier League match between Liverpool and Manchester United honoured Cristiano Ronaldo following the death of the player's newborn son.

At the match at Anfield, fans applauded in the seventh minute of the game, coinciding with Ronaldo's No. 7 jersey, with "You'll Never Walk Alone" ringing among the crowd.

Thats really nice.

No one is arguing against the outclassed and out managed bit.

It's the complete lack of compete. Effort. Desire. Or simply showing some sense of caring or giving a... that is just as worrying.

And that the manager persists with these pos when he knows what he's going to get. You'll have a hard time convincing me that Pogba was nothing more than pulling a sickie with no desire to face the music after getting an earfull from the supporters last game.

I dont know about that, I think its pretty good.

We need a miracle run-in and United arent even going to be our hardest match. Everton and Spurs actually have something to play for.

Well...City will have to stumble too.

Honestly, I kind of want this one more than I really wanted the last one.

I'll be the first to say that I value CL over EPL, every time. Maybe its because I dont live in England and I'd prefer Liverpool to be the best in Europe, but after having clawed back a double-digit lead to 1 point...I really kind of feel that they've really earned this one.

Liverpool need a "miracle run-in" in what world lol. They need City to drop points once, not four times. If anything, given current form, injuries, and City having a much harder UCL matchup, I'd say Liverpool should be slight favorites at this point.

City are 1/2 favorites right now at most books

The fact of the matter is that City are in the Driver's Seat.

And we would be remiss in not congratulating Phil Jones on getting a start for Man United!

Good job Phil! Still getting those paycheques! And he didnt even get injured!

Good for Phil.

1/2 I meant

For top 4, as of right now

Spurs are 1/2
Arsenal are 9/4
United are 9/1

They certainly control their destiny and you'd always rather have control than not. My point was just that its not that hard to envision Liverpool winning since all they need is one City draw and there are certainly landmine games out there for City. It's just nice to have a good title race this year because if the Haaland rumours are true then we might not have a decent one for a few years.

Nice of Chelsea to rest a few guys. I hope the new owners are the Cubs owners and they run that club as a business.
