If Canada can defeat El Salvador at home 3-1 with a lame duck Floro in charge and Nik Ledgerwood getting his one and only national team goal, they can defeat El Salvador with the talent they have on the current squad.
IMO Wednesday's game is the easiest one in the round, by far. Anything less than a 2 goal win is a disappointment.
Didn’t Canada defeat Honduras at home with Floro in charge, too?
Yes, in 2015 when Honduras was at their all time lowest FIFA ranking, and losing regularly.
Prior to this window, many argued Honduras was at a low point based on recent results. They got spanked in the Gold Cup. Especially with the main players they were missing against us (Most notably Albert Elis)
Honduras finished 4th in 2018 qualifying and lost to Australia in the playoff to go to the world cup.
Whatever their issues are, they know how to bring it when it matters in WCQ.
Was hoping it was just cramp but I guess he's already back in Munich getting tests on his knee.
Massive game tomorrow now. Need a win to make this break successsful standings wise and give the team confidence that they can do this. May well be 2nd in the table after tomorrow, as Mexico plays Panama.
Now also need a win to prove to team can win without Davies. Even if it's a minor knock, Bayern may not be overjoyed to release him in less than a month's time so Canada may play those three games without him too. Mexico, fine, he can sit, that's chalked up as a loss already, but the Jamaica game that follows is a must win as is Panama who's ahead of them currently too.
If Canada calls him Bayern has no choice but to release him for a FIFA window. Whether or not they’d be happy about it is another sorry and he keeps picking up knocks with Canada.
Of course Bayern will want to protect their asset, especially since there are another 6 games in the next 8 weeks.
Not even 2 months ago Canada defeated Costa Rica without Davies, David and Larin. They still have the latter two available. Not concerned at all about tonight's match.

Weird post by him, I don't understand the purpose there. I am disappointed Bayern pulled him if that's what happened. Tweets today suggesting this is a minor injury. I know they want to protect their players but he should have been allowed to stay with teammates imo and finish the camp at least.
An aside, but man Bayern are underpaying him like crazy. 90,000 a week is like a bench player wage for a big EPL side. Pulisic who isn't half the player makes 150k.
I don't usually advocate for players to try and move, but with his talent and resume he should be pushing to renegotiate that or move. And somehow he signed that deal to 2025!?
Feel like all the El Salvador fans remembered that soccer games actually start as advertised and Canada fans are still filtering in thinking the game will start in 10 minutes
