Depends on what scene you're into. For such a short time frame I would not recommend going up the Eiffel tower or the Arc de Triomphe because you would waste hours waiting in line. If you want to just take in the big sights just start at the Eiffel tower then walk over to the Seine. Walk up and down the Seine on each side and you'll see most of the big sites including the Musee D'Orsay (pretty nice art gallery inside that isn't as busy as the Louvre, if you're into that. . . it also has "The origin of the world" painting hehe) all the way to Notre Dame Cathedral. That would be a lot of walking but would be do able within a day. If you choose to go into the Louvre, buy your entrance ticket from one of the automated machines instead of from a cashier. The machines are almost hidden, so many people miss them. Montmartre is worth seeing if you feel like taking the metro away from downtown.
What area are you staying in? I might be able to help you more exactly then.
The north part of the Seine has some sketchy places after dark but, since you're an international man of mystery, I doubt you have to worry.

I like how you captured all the illegal Africans selling miniature Eiffel towers. Did you see the police attempt a raid on those guys while you were there? It's pretty funny when the police show up and the Africans scoop up their mats and rings and run off.

I am pretty sure jolinar works for the RCMP as some sort of location scout that they send ahead / during head of state visits... judging by the timing and locations of your photographs, I'd wager it's for the Governor General's Office.
If he worked for CSIS he'd have been fired already, no way he'd be posting pics that link him to a certain place at a certain time - The same with any sort of secretive missions or organizations.
I'll put money on an advance location security scout for the GG or some other non-PMO related figure head
That way you can post pictures like this and yet it doesn't really impact the security of a figure head

Really cool pictures.
I did my first trip ever recently, to a resort in Mexico :/ (laugh I know but it was still a trip!) and I spent more time in the town exploring than I did on the resort or any of the related activities. I also had much, much more fun in the town than anywhere else. I have been bit by the travel bug and wish to explore more of the world.
I think I need an occupation change though

Is that supposed to be a French Flag in the Arc de Triomphe? The blue looks black. And we all know what happened the last time someone decided to hang their flag from it...

There was no bust when I was there, but I did buy a Eiffel tower off one of them. I was able to get the price reduced by 10 Euros.
Probably wasn't the best time of year to be there. It was really brown, windy and kind of bla. But it was still interesting to see. Beer was friggen expensive however. 10 euro for 1 pint.

Look at all the people, Christ. I see the RCMP, but they should have brought out the tear gas this time as well.

I was a little disappointed. Kind of a mockery of our system when thousands of people come out and break the law in front of Parliament.
It's hard to blame the RCMP though, they would have looked like a bunch of Soviet thugs if they had started arresting people.

Meh, It's better than the anti-abortion people who showed me pictures of aborted fetuses when I visited in grade 3.
