I compliment you on your willingness to search the globe for your extension cords.

Am I the only one who thinks it's odd to allow a high-rise hotel right across the street from a presidential compound? If ever you were asking for a prime sniper nest, I guess your hotel room would be it.
Unless that's a military compound you're in.

Good point. It's not a military compound it is the Marriott Hotel. There was a guard searching everyone that came in the front door with a metal detector. I am sure the security is not all that tight there however.

Jolinar, what exactly do you do for a living? You seem to get to go to some really cool places...is it all through work or do you just get that much time off?

It is all work related. I don't want to sound secretive but I am not comfortable telling the world wide web what my occupation is due to the nature of my work. All I can really say is that I am in law enforcement and part of my duties can include travelling to potentially any country in the world. I love my job, however, as romantic as it sometime sounds to travel all over the world it can be very difficult at times. In most cases I am required to stay awake for the entire trip, which can be very long sometimes. My trip to Honduras for example. I worked all day, went home for a few hours then had to be back at the office at 9pm for a 1230 am flight to Toronto, 4.5 hour lay over in TO then to El Salvador. 5 hour layover there before we left for Honduras. I couldn't sleep the entire time. Makes for a long day.
Any ideas about hotels in St. Vincent?

I bet you he works for Cirque du Soleil as a flexible sad French clown, swinging on extension cords and other cables of the like.

How did you like Bosnia? My family originates there, although most now live in either Croatia or Slovenia.
I just recently spent 5 weeks in Croatia and Bosnia visiting family, and Bosnia was really great and impressed me more than I thought it would. The people are very nice, although there is still a sadness that hangs over the country. I didn't feel the hatred or anger that I was expecting, but just sadness. I spent most of my time there in either Muslim or Croat areas and found both to be the most generous and hospitable people I ever met. Besides Mostar and Medugorje though, I was in some pretty remote areas.... areas that even some people living only a few kilometers away didn't even know how to get to.
Eh, sorry. I don't want to steal your thunder.

I should answer the phone with this whenever I don't recognize the number.

I really enjoyed Bosnia. I can echo the same thing you said. People were really nice and I could not see any hatred directed toward anyone. Maybe it was because I was in Sarajevo and when the war happend all of the religous groups were besieged and the Yugoslav forces didn't care who they killed even if it was there own people. They were kind of in it together.
I would go back again for a longer time if I could.

That sounds really cool, despite the whole lack of sleep thing.
