Late to the party but the fairways on this course are awesome for ball roll. Guys routinely having their shots roll 50-75 yards after landing. McIlroy had a 408 yard drive on one of the par 5's and Speith drove the green on the 396 yard first hole - both on Saturday so perhaps the wind factored in too.
Great final round to watch and it was nice to have things wrapped up by lunch more or less so you could still make something of your afternoon.
Not sure if anyone has followed this story, or would even really know who Jarrod Lyle is, but we have a couple mutual friends. It's been a pretty heartbreaking turn of events for him this week - just wanted to share a particularly touching article I read this morning from Robert Allenby:
Brooke is in the top 10 midway through the 2nd round of the Women's british open. Links style course is wet and windy but she is battling. Has a par 5 left to make up a shot she dropped at a previous par 5 on the front 9.
Looks like she got a hole in 1 as well today! Good reaction from her playing companion and her sister who just giggles.

Brooke on the back nine. She's -8 and tied for 8th. Leader is at -16. So Brooke isn't going to win it this week
Looking at her scorecards she has uncharacteristically struggled/not taken advantage on the par 5s in rounds 2 and 4. she is normally a player who feasts on those. She's playing the rest of the course well.

Here comes Tiger. -2 after two for his third round.
