Yep, the Canucks and now the Oilers have joined the bottom feeders party list. It is obvious that the Flames and Sharks are running away from the pack and that's why there's a gap between the Flames and Jets. It's going to be a crazy finish with far less stress for all of us Flames fans looking from the top safely and watching the chaos below.

I don't know where to put this but I have this huge feeling that we are going to end up with a TB/Flames repeat SC final (Hopefully this time the in net cameras are of a better standard)

It's strange that various websites have the Avs placed ahead of the Coyotes. The 2 teams are tied in ROW and the Coyotes have beaten the Avs twice so far this season. I know the first game between them doesn't count for tie breaking purposes, but, the 2nd game does. The teams play each other next Friday in Denver.

Arizona seems to have hit a wall, it was bound to happen with all their injuries. Although if there was ever a race you could take a few games off it would be this one. Between the three teams around 78 points, .500 hockey probably gets you there.

Crazy that Vegas is 5 points back of the Sharks and the still play them once. Sharks have gone from never lose again, the division is theirs, to they might lose home ice in the first round.

What record do we need in the last 8 games to win the division? Will 4 wins pretty much do it?

Pretty much.

@DannyAustin_9
If the #Flames go .500 in their final eight (4-4) the Sharks need to win seven of their last eight to pass them for first in the Pacific Division

I'm getting that deja vu feeling too. Wouldn't it be strange if the Flames scored a Cup-winning OT goal but it was missed, and the play continued, ending with the the Lighning scoring on the Flames, only to have it overturned on a video review that determined that prior to the Lightning goal, the Flames had actually scored?

That would certainly give Lightning fans a taste of what Flames fans experienced back in the day...

I’m not sure my heart could handle that scenario.

Even though SJ gained a point last night, the OT loss is as good as a regulation loss. CGY now definitely holds the tie breaker. If down the stretch SJ wins two more games and ends up tied in points, they would still have one less ROW.

If the Flames can go 4-3-1 with none of the wins being in a SO, the Sharks would have to go 7-0-0.

Sounds easy, but IMO, none of the games will be easy from here. 4-3-1 would be great.

Game tonight against the Kings is one of those games where the team needs to show their killer instinct. A win puts The Flames 8 points up. SJ would need to use 4 of their games just to catch the Flames, but would still be behind on ROW.

Need to get SJ to the point where emphasis would be on staying ahead of Vegas for home ice and resting their wounded rather than the division.

At the bottom, I think Arizona is done. I think the last push emptied their tank and are on fumes. Chicago had their chance this week, but ended up giving Colorado 3 instead. heard on the TV that Grubuer has a .970 SV% on this little run of his. With that kind of goal-tending, I like their chances to stay in the WC spot.

I like the Avs matchup for our first line. The motivation of playing vs Mackinnon/Landeskog should bring out the best in Lindy/Mony/Johnny
