Cover Story: With their third album, MGMT continue to chase their psych-rock whims while falling into a musical abyss that's as goofy as it is dark. But will their legion of neon-clad followers come along for the ride? By Larry Fitzmaurice; photos by Sandy Kim.
American Songwriter - Wise Up Ghost is a fearless, invigorating gut-punch of a record, one that never settles and surprises from start to finish. Read More... http://bit.ly/1b58D3O
Kings of Leon : Mechanical Bull is streaming on iTunes right now. The first half of the album is not great but it gets better for the second half. I second the new Matt Good Album...I actually prefer the stuff he has done since leaving the "band". His own personal style really comes through in all his recent albums, it's nice to have him writing his own stuff and not putting out what the record labels want him to.
For me the standouts are Arrows of Desire, Garden of Knives, Hey Hell Heaven, and Letters in Wartime. I'm not sure he's ever released an album with a final track that didn't blow me away.
