Out of those I like Toxic Holocaust the most... But, still like MW the best definite heirs to Anthrax's throne. Plus I am partial to any band with Dave Witte as the drummer been following him since his Black Army Jacket/Discordance Axis days. He has never been in a bad band.

Thats true. Have you heard the newest album by his other band, Birds of Prey?

I quite liked it.
Definitely a winner. Have you heard East West Blast Test? It's him and Chris Dodge from Spazz sending recordings back and forth across the country and the other adding to it. Pretty Damn cool if you are into their other stuff you will love it.
Ugh, Sorry but I can't stand Toxic Holocaust. He has one drum beat, and really lacks any sort of song writing ability. I'd much rather stick with something like NIFELHEIM.
If you want some new thrash, check out RAVAGED. The album GET F***ING SLAUGHTERED is an amazing death/thrash hybrid, very crushing.
Of course, I'm still a fan of the older stuff. I love my MEKONG DELTA, BIFROST, DESTROYER 666, HYPNOSIA, HOLY TERROR and ARTILLERY.

^ Bob Rock was the wrong thing at the right time. I'm glad they parted ways. Hopefully the band can reclaim the form they had circa Lightning and Puppets.

Agreed, and hopefully they start drinking again...
Great news for gothic rock/metal fans in NA, Within Temptation albums Mother Earth and The Silent Force have now officially been released in the US by Roadrunner Records. WT is one of the best in the business, so if you are a fan of Lacuna Coil, Evanescence, Nightwish, Leaves' Eyes, etc. you will like this band too. If you are going to pick up just one album, The Silent Force is money.

that will never happen, but i could accept a return to the black album sound. The Unforgiven, Wherever I May Roam, and Nothing Else Matters are all great songs that often get overlooked just because of what album they're on

I think it could be somewhere between Justice and the Black Album. But no it wont compete with something like Puppets. Albums like that are special and it shouldn't feel like a failure if future albums cant top it.
The Day That Never Comes was released on the Metallica website as well as as YouTube. Pretty decent song I think, at times has pieces of almost all their albums. Have a listen.
wow, that new Grand Magus stuff sounds awesome. i liked their previous album Wolf's Return but it was a little too slow in parts for me. this new album sounds like they kicked things up a notch
oh and for those Grand Magus fans who really like JB's vocals like me, check out his other band Spiritual Beggars. awesome hard rock, something to drink whiskey to
Just listened to the Unblessing the Purity miniCD by Bloodbath. Man those are some great sounding tracks! The guitars in parts sound like they are on fire and Mikael Akerfeldt's vocals are killer!
