I have been out of town curling for the last while. I'll update the snake tonight once I am home. In return for your patience, I'll reward it with a bonus snake.

After winning the last three games, the red snake has moved to within 0.390 points of the black line. A win on Tuesday night will put them back over the line. The red snake is 2 points below the green snake, and already 5 points above the purple snake.

And now for bonus snake time. If you were wondering how the Oilers were doing, here is a visual representation. For comparative purposes, I have plotted last year's team, as they made the playoffs, and also the 2011-12 season. I chose this one as it was the highest point total the Oilers achieved in the 7 seasons prior to 2016-17.
The orange snake is 6.220 points below the black line. It would take 8 straight wins to get above it. The 6.220 points below the black line is 3.757 points larger than the biggest deficit its purple snake ever had to overcome. It does pale in comparison to the blue snake's biggest deficit, which was 22 points at the end of the season.
