Mostly up in the NE. There's a pretty good community here.

Did my first EX raid this afternoon (on my kids' account), and caught a 93% mewtwo with my first ball.

You pretty much have to join a Facebook or discord group, and raid with them.

Getting the Ex pass is the hard part. Catching Mewtwo not so hard.

I use a facebook group chat and I never really have any problems finding raids. If you want me to shoot you an invite send me a pm.

Yeah, generally getting groups together isn’t a problem where I live. Ive been at a few 11am on a weekday raids in the burbs with nearly 20 accounts. Then again, most people have two accounts these days.

The game was updated today and apparently Kyogre is much easier to hit. Both closer and has a larger circle. I’m not sure if you need the update for the changes to be there.

It also includes a lot of QoL changes and bug fixes. My favourite is that is groups incubators by type/charge, and they finally moved the infinite to the start of the list.

I moved downtown this month for work and decided to start playing again after 6 months off and it is such a different animal being down here. Much easier to walk and get the KM's for eggs. Way more stops and gyms. More Pokemon and a much bigger variety. Just a much different game.
I am two gyms right now, I have never been in more than one at a time. Working in the NE and living in Airdrie there was not much out there unless I wanted to drive around and I was not that into it. The only pain I found is you cannot battle or add to a gym if there is a raid coming or underway, and most gyms have a raid in one state or another.

You can still knock down gyms or add to them while it's a raid egg, just not during the 45 minutes while the raid is active.

No gym has more than about 3 raids in a day, so there is plenty of time to battle gyms in between.

I believe Lotad is extremely rare to completely not available unless it's raining. I think there has been maybe one hour of in game rain that I've seen since weather effects started.
