Cory Perry still bleeding as he fist bumps his teammates after the win as they exit the ice might be the only time I've ever liked him...

I think this series may be over. That gaffe by Fleury is the type of mistake that turns an entire series. I don't know if the Knights will be able to come back from that letdown.

nah, I think the opposite happens. That coaching staff is too good, and that is to talented of a line up for that to happen, and for the most part, Vegas pushed the pace until over time.
I think Montreal's margin of error is really thin in this series. I expected that Vegas comes out and jumps on Montreal and wrecks them in the next game.

I thought the Habs were crazy making all those moves in the off season but I guess they've paid off one way or the other. 2 wins away from a Cup final.

It's possible but that game makes me more confident that Vegas is winning the series. The stars had to align for Montreal to win.

Yeah, I think to win the series, Montreal will need Vegas to make another few dumb mistakes, while also having Price in God mode.
Vegas is the better team which kills me to say because I hate Vegas

Sports are weird that way where something happens to a team and it takes them off their game. Can happen both ways where a team will play above (whole Cinderella effect) or good team will just start overthinking and struggle to play their game. If something bad happens things just tend to snowball.
It will be interesting to see if Vegas can rebound.

We have to give Montreal some credit, their style of play along the boards has made it difficult for Vegas to play their game. Montreal plays a very patient game even when they fall behind and takes advantage of miscues and mistakes. Montreal's style of play seems to lull the other team to sleep. It was unusual watching Vegas look slow and tired at times. On the overtime goal they, Montreal got aggressive going for the win. They are finding ways to win. Price has been giving them the confidence to stick with the plan.

That may be true If the Habs were the better team, but Vegas is far superior, so the series is still theirs to win.

Vegas getting their #1 center back would be a factor...not sure how that is looking
the opposition losing a top player in game 1 of every series is certainly a factor

This may seem out of place here (also there may have been another thread discussing hosts) but I want to say Ron MacLean is a tremendous human being and I have high regard and respect for him. We appreciate him so much, he is a very kind man.

There is no deserves to win in sports. There are winners and losers. The winners are the better team. That’s what happens when you win, you are proven to be the better team based on the rules of the competition.
Also, the goalie is part of the team. Vegas has better offence, Montreal has better goaltending. It all counts the same in my books.
The better team so far is up 2-1.
