I feel like it would be a bit risky to give a new player like Coleman a letter given he hasn't played a game yet and the team has a number of players with the years here already. You only do that if the guy coming in is seen as an established, league-wide leader and even then, you need to look at your current roster and how that kind of move disrupts things.
