Great. One of the few times that being in a totally different time zone from the rest of the discussion has worked out beneficially. Glad the mods finally dealt with that guy's spoilers.

It's crystal and what you're seeing is Jon's hand getting up from the ice through the crystal.
EDIT: Although, if you go frame by frame it doesn't quite match up. Not smart enough about movie camera shutter speeds or whatever to know if that may be why or if what we're looking at through the crystal isn't his hand but maybe something else. Either way, I wouldn't look into it much, it's just some refraction that I doubt was at all intentional.

My thoughts were just that it was some little detail tossed in there to entertain and stir up discussion among fans more than a really significant plot detail, but you never know. Doesn't look like it's a hand through crystal though.

One thing that's bugging me. After Daenarys flew from Dragonstone past the wall with her dragons and picked up all the heroes, why did they land and transfer to a boat instead of just flying back to Dragonstone since they were going there anyway?
The frustrating part is that they seem to be constantly showing us maps of Westeros and all the characters plans seemed to have geography being a crucial part.
It's like the writers are purposely trolling at this point. They literally showed both Dany and Cersei with oversized maps of Westeros planning out their strategy. Then the following events totally ignored this geography.

IF it's all UK sized it makes sense or at least makes me feel better as the Walkers are still way too slow.

It's hard to say what the actual scale is. They seem to have pretty great ships available to them, yet the map of the known world is tiny. The distance from dragonstone to Casterly rock is apparently easily navigable by both Dany's forces and Euron. Yet, the map of the known world extends not much that further than that same distance to the East.

They are taking the wight to Kings Landing not Dragonstone. Can't show up there with a dragon.

They are taking the white walker (or is it wight walker?) to Kings Landing not Dragonstone. Can't show up there with a dragon.
Dragonstone is right beside King's Landing though. Would it not make much more sense to fly to Dragonstone then hop in a boat for a quick jaunt across Blackwater Bay?
