Shamet is NOT ready for the NBA. Shockers were ripe I think. Haven't looked right all year really.
Still, disappointed.

Eric Musselman is a really good coach. If they win I think they make it to the second weekend.

13-4 might be the new 12-5. Auburn in trouble against Charleston, Marshall beat Wichita State, Buffalo stomped Arizona and UNC Greensboro barely lost to Gonzaga.

Haha, UVA losing as the #1 overall seed would be such a UVA thing to do. They look to be in real trouble. HAving 22 points into the second half against a team not even in the top 100 is pretty spectacularly awful!

UMBC with single biggest upset alert in tourney history. Basically #1 seed vs #62.
Dont ever remember hearing about this school until they made the dance this year.
Up 13 with 15 minutes left.
Virginia is a really good team though and much time left.

Virginia is a good team, but their offense is a slow paced offense, and down as much as they are they need quick buckets. If they're gonna come back they're gonna need a huge defensive effort.

UVA is good, but they win with stifling defense. I don't know that they have the offense to come back at this point.

Not to super jinx UMBC because this probably will, but it does make sense that in the year of the dog it's the Retrievers who become the first #16 seed to win.

That #11 plays like those youtube street basketball guys you always wonder how they'd do in a real game.

Yeah VA is starting to score, but UMBC just isnt missing theirs either.
Riveting stuff to see if this will be the first time it ever happens.

^ I think that is the key to pulling this off, don't let this become a 6-8 point game where it comes down to free throws and pressing. We've seen many upsets go by the wayside over the years because teams blow it at the end. Keep that lead nice and healthy.

Yeah....they are gonna need a few more points than they have as VA is starting to figure it out a bit.

UVA is without, arguably, their most athletic player (and scorer). The loss of DeAndre Hunter is bigger than I thought it would be.
