Canada's 2020(1) Olympic Mount Rushmore is getting a little crowded

Ahmed’s race was pretty epic. What a push at the end!

I’m still amazed with Sinclair’s performance against USA in 2012… just clutch…

Great job by the officials today, they were correctly not influencing the play… at least not from our perspective… wonder if Sweden is upset with the tying penalty kick goal?

Who made the call to have CBC not broadcast the gold medal ceremony on the main channel?

Terrible. Imagine Canada wins a hockey gold and instead of showing the ceremony they start showing biathlon replays.

CBC has truly made some baffling decisions on what to show and when but I imagine they are saving it for their "prime time" telecast which will no doubt include a replay of the entire match. I understand not everyone can watch live or DVR but still.

Sounds like the ceremony will be shown at 10:50.

Let's hope this isn't lost in the Soccer Gold.

It is impressive

The 5th round of the shootout, where Sweden essentially had two chances to win gold was as as clutch as it gets for Canada.

I don't imagine the opponents care too much for the Canadian goalie's approach of standing almost in their face before the kick. But to the victor go the spoils.

indeed so. even the relay bronze- nothing DeGrasse does will get completely lost in the shuffle-but although it might not feel as awesome ( I think gold was in the end possible for them- although full props to Italy) medalling in the mens 4x100 is always massive , just look at who didn't get one

I hope too the story there isn't that DeGrasse totally bailed out his teammates-- yes he closed the gap but that was always going to be the case- most other countries had their big guns running earlier legs-(our)Blake and Rodney were taking on the likes of Jacobs and (other) Blake and Su etc. ...this was the way it was going to be- let the closer close
