As a kid I was jealous of my friends because they had...
When I was a kid I was always jealous of my friends who had these donuts on their BMX grips. They were never available in my hometown and I always had blisters on my thumbs.

Any friend that had the G.I. Joe Aircraft Carrier.
LOL:
"Comics Alliance referred to it in retrospect as the "ultimate playset" which represented to a child "no better way to gain false friendship and genuine jealousy"

a trampoline.
My parents never let us get one as they were too dangerous. Looking back at some of them that didn't even have padding over the springs....I get their point.

One, school was so easy for him.
Two got all the hot girls to like him
While I was driving a crappy used car, my best friend had a sparkling new mustang with all the fixings.

My one friend basically had all the Return of the Jedi toy sets (Ewok village and all the Ewoks, Jabba's palace, the Rancor pit with a Rancor etc.) . . . and I had a single Ewok side character that looked genetically deficient.

Friends that had Power Wheels made me extremely jealous as a naïve little ankle biter. It also made me more jealous when some kids didn't even have to share it (no passengers!)
Nowadays I'm just jealous of it because I could have owned and maintained an original EV and claimed to be ahead of its time

Those Nintendo's you'd get in Hong Kong with all the illegal copied games so you could have hundreds of games.
That and anyone who had a satellite dish.

PS2. I used to game on the computer, but wished I had a PS2.
I wasn't really into gaming much either, but I had a knock-off cartridge based gaming console (Polystation)

i remember my one friend had an atari game console - nothing was more amazing than those 8-bit graphics!
in grade 5 i had a friend who had a vic20, there was also a vic20 in my classroom. we'd figure out goofy stuff on his home computer then at lunch mess around with the computer in our classroom - basically seeing if we could do just enough to it to stump our teacher and then he'd have to reinstall stuff

NES. And money. Then later, a car, (an IROC) which I didn't get until I was in University (and mine was a base civic, though it was actuallya good car for me).
My neighbour was very well off so his kids had all the toys. Great guy though.
