I thought passengers were supposed to stay seated with their seat belts fastned until the plane arrives safely at the gate.

What the hell were his colleagues thinking? It sounds like this was never a bucket list thing for the guy and that they wanted to basically scare him enough to crap his pants. The guy obviously didn't want to do it so I'm not sure why we went ahead with it as who cares the trouble his colleagues went through as I'm not sure they had his best intentions in mind anyway. He almost died because he didn't want to be rude.
