Watching the first two Abbotsford games, I really hope that Vancouver makes a couple of recalls during the season. They’re starting the year with Podkolzin, Raty, and Aman on the roster. That combined with Arshdeep Bains entering his second season, they could be the team to beat this year if their roster stays the way it is.

Calgary Wranglers 2023-24 Season thread
I find it curious that Wolf isn’t starting on a days rest this early in the season. Especially with the next game not being until Friday where they will be playing Abbotsford on a back-to-back.
I probably would have put Dansk in on Friday or Saturday.
Longshot: Perhaps he gets called up for a spot-start on the flames road trip?

Decent special teams from the Wranglers so far.
Good on the PK, Schwindt seems comfortable.
Good PP, won all the faceoffs, good zone time, the one entry was good, light on shots but good on posession. Pospisil needs to shoot sometimes.

After the first weekend, 3 of a possible 4 pts is good for 5th place in the Pacific Division. Henderson, San Diego, Abbotsford and Tucson all start the season 2-0.

Watched some highlights from the couple games. Nothing on Wrangler's Youtube other than a pregame, so I resorted to the Manitoba Moose Youtube.
Some new names to watch out for this year, and some changes in jersey numbers.
Looking forward to the first home game in a few weeks!

Calgary Sports have just about the worst social media presence ever, at least this year they have been uploading the game ending scores, last year they would only ever list periods 1 and 2.
