Need a good win tonight to get some momentum to bash the Oilers on Saturday. Not like the momentum is needed, but would be good

Haha I'd love for that to happen Bingo! Just not too confident (yet) of Smith... Want him to prove some of us wrong though of course.

All eyes on Smith and Neal for me. Both those guys need to string some good games together.
So I'll say 4-1 Flames.
Tkachuk, Neal, Backlund, Andersson

The Oilers likely have that game circled on their calendar, and will show up like it's game 7 of the Cup final. As bad as the Oilers are, Flames will need to be ready for that one.

This is the second time the Flames have come off of a three day break, and the fourth time playing on more than one day's rest.
The last three-day break following a road trip had them win handily against the Boston Bruins at home.
In all games with at least two days rest the Flames are 3-0, and have outscored their opponents 13–6.

Can't say they're not trying to find him a home.
Was glad to see his comments in the paper about having to play better, always bugged me that Brouwer never seemed to own the fact that the buck stops at him.
|
While they've tried a bunch of combinations, I don't think he's been given a real shot with the ones that could work well. I think he needs some time with the same centre.
At the same time, I'm pretty dubious that the centre to get him going is Jankowski.

Sure, but I was just being cheeky that a soft goal would be score in the 1st minute.

This is actually the winger combination I have been pushing since day one.
Now just swap Jankowski and Bennett and we have the top nine I want to see. Then just swap Hathaway with someone who has NHL-caliber skill - Mangiapane or Dube, or at least someone better than Hathaway - Foo/Lazar

I have a good feeling about the 3rd line with The Czarnivore, Jankowski, and Neal. They each only have four points but should have the skills for more. Putting them all on the 3rd line gives them the chance to show what they can do all at once, while making it clear they aren't considered top six material right now. Czarpe diem, boys!
Go Flames Go!

I get that he would benefit from having better linemates, at least on the Chuck line, however, something resembling drive/effort/work ethic would go a long way for Neal. Just f-ing skate, shoot, drive the net, make a hit, do something.
Earn it.

Exactly, these are 2 games this team should win. I fully expect 4 pts after a so-so road trip.

Oh I know. My prediction would have been Domi at 1:23 of the 1st period.

Hey, who does those posts about upcoming milestones? And where is it for this game?
I can remember Frolik needs an assist.

I suspect someone has a discussion for Domi for his end of game cheapshot last time out.
