I think I see what you're saying.

We need to put our D in their A.

Just goes to show what a fresh start and any ice time can mean for young players. They get their confidence up and get on a roll. Grimaldi already has more same goals as all of last season.

And this is why we don't give up on Bennett and deal him for crap all. Wouldn't surprise me if he went to a poor team and got more ice time and broke out offensively. I'd rather he does that with us long term. Wait, wouldn’t that mean we turn into a crap team as a result? Oh yeah! Player success before team success baby!

The Sabres with an impressive 2-1 win in reg time. Carter Hutton with 29 saves gets the win.

The return of Tom Wilson after his suspension reduction, he scores a goal and gets a penalty at the same time. The Capitals with a 5-2 win in Minnesota. Orlov with a pair of goals and an assist.

The Panthers were hanging on to their 2-1 lead in the 3rd period, they were out shot 17-6. They got the victory.

The Devils honour Martin Brodeur in a pregame ceremony. It was a good luck charm as they beat the Penguins 4-2. Taylor Hall with 4 points (2g, 2a).

It was Coyote ugly as they lost 6-1 to Detroit. Kuemper was pulled after 5 goals, rookie goalie Hunter Miska took over early in the 3rd period.

They did fire the coach. I don't know how many big moves they can make as they don't have a lot of desirable assets which is why they are a bad team.

I sure hope the Habs are as bad against Calgary as against Edmonton. Hard to beleive that was the same team that bear Calgary to every puck, and generally skated like the wind all night. I didn't even notice Gallagher out there - what's wrong with him?

I guess no Byron and Armia made all the difference?

The Canadiens are just not a very good road team. They have a 3-3-1 record away from Montreal including only two regulation wins. Last night was their seventh road game. The Flames have played 11.

I thought the ice looked bad last night too, which probably works against the Canadians and in favour of the Oilers who are generally a slow team. I wonder if the Oilers have changed their ice, which used to be very good, either because of the new building or because of Lucic
