I see Philippe Myers on that list. I can’t help but think about when New Era was telling us how amazing it would be for the Flames to trade Gaudreau for Voracek, Frost, and Myers and how amazing Frost and Myers would be.

That's the rub with young players.
Sometimes they develop into top players, and sometimes they stagnate and are out of the league just like that.
I don't think I'd fault anyone for thinking Myers was about to develop into a solid top pairing two way defenseman a couple years ago.

To be fair most thought it was a garbage proposal at the time and the Flames would lose badly especially since they were taking on money.

What? Edmonton media said that Kassian was tradeable. That Marc-Edouard Vlasic contract just gets worse and worse. Was only averaging 15 minutes a game this season.

I don’t think the Ducks would want to trade Gibson who has quite a bit of term left to fill the biggest need of a divisional rival.
The Devils and Leafs make more sense. Send him to the east

On the bright side Anahiem just got a whole lot easier to play against the next few years if they do trade him.

Kassian was the Game 4 Hero, by sending it to overtime. I’m sure they just got their lists mixed up. He was supposed to be on the ‘Contacts to Extend’ list.

I'd like it because it would make bidding on Gaudreau pretty hard. $19M left and 16 players signed after that deal. Unless they shed cap in the trade of course.

Leafs are often an exception to that. Agents when polled have the Leafs as a team they like to be interested in their players. Interestingly Vegas was at the bottom (probably due to how they kick players to the curb, like Fleury).
