Default December 23 with thirteen games!

Good morning,Christmas is just about here and the Super Saturday OOT will be fun to follow.
Almost every team in the league playing! The Jets, Oilers, Habs, and Flyers are the only teams
not in action. It's also a triple header with or without Centre Ice.

The Stanley Cup rematch has been a good one so far. The Knights third stringer, Patera, has been excellent. The shots in the first period were 20-3 for the Panthers! It was scoreless after twenty minutes.

The second period has been evenly played. Both teams scored twice, it is 2-2 heading into the third period.

Seems like a really scary situation. Looks like the puck in the chest might have been the issue?

It was really strange. It was a two part play and I couldn't really see what the first play that impacted him was.

Obviously fingers crossed he's ok.

Anybody have a replay of the panel discussing this? I kind of missed it with Columbus

Freaky stuff. Looked like the shoulder to the head kind of jolted him a bit, the puck hitting him looked harmless, then grabs his arm/wrists and then collapses after getting to the bench. So strange. Really hope it's ok. I hate seeing stuff like that.

On a side note, why do they have to get the medical personal from the other side of the rink? Why are they not right by the dressing room?

Pure speculation but I believe the NHL team Dr's are required to be behind the benches within a very close range.

Paramedics and their gear/ambulance would be near the entrance where the zamboni would be be in order load up a player and then actually drive off. In this case perhaps the paramedics/waiting ambulance is on the far side

You may be correct. Just tough to watch the team yelling for help, then somebody slowly walks across the ice to get to the bench. Doesn't seem right.
