Default West Ed Mall with kids (ages 2,3,7)

Heading to west ed with some friends and our kids this weekend. Ages 2, 3 and 7.

Planning to hit the lake water park one day and galaxy land the next.

We’ve got our hepatitis shots, our jean jackets and some baggies of meth. Anything else you can recommend to make the experience grand? Or alternative activities for kids?

You forgot the sweat pants.

edit: I see you brought meth for the kids, but don't forget about yourselves, you'll need a reliever.

Don't forget to douse the kiddies with a chlorine spray at the end of day to sanitize their bodies of the many pathogens they surely will have come in contact with

Silly Calgarian.....you dont bring your own Meth, its already in the water!

Whenever you see people inexplicably having fun at the Water Park....why do you think that is? You better believe its Meth.

We took our kids there this past summer. They equally loved the water park and the amusement park. One word of advice, pre-order a cabana at the water park. You can do it online. It gets busy on the weekends and it's nice to have a "base" for all your stuff, food and drink. It was approximately $200 but it made things much easier.

Other than that, enjoy hanging out with all the bridge trolls.

Thats just practical, family-friendly consumer advice right there.

Its also probably the cleanest place in Edmonton.

our kids (aged 4 and 2) enjoyed the kids playground in the galaxyland amusement park. There's also a bowling alley that they enjoyed as well.

Your young kids may enjoy the blacklight mini-golf and mirror maze... actually my daughter didn't like the mirror maze. She kept running into the glass. I think she was 4 or 5 at the time. She doesn't like going to Edmonton.

There’s also a Rec Room in the west Ed mall which your kids would like too

They’ve got a bunch of different arcade games that the Calgary location doesn’t have, like Kung Fu panda, angry birds... etc

For the older kid and you, there’s a very well constructed Star Wars VR in the upstairs where it is interactive (you physically hold a blaster and feel your armour take blaster hits) $35 per person for a 20 min game

Fantasyland Hotel - explain to the kids why there are mirrors above the bed!

Don't forget to leave your toothpaste and deodorant at home, you won't need it.

Not only will you not need it, using it will make you stick out and then the locals will target you for unsolicited mustard festivals and sweatpant blowout extravaganza sales!

Not to mention the stabbings. So many stabbings....

They dont call it 'Stabmonton' for nothing and even the watered-down Meth wont be enough to dull the pain.

I can’t imagine what Edmonton would look like under a black light.

We have cookie sheet armor for the stabbings, were good there.

I didn't know about the Star Wars VR, I will have to check that out. Cabana is another great tip thanks everyone.

If we survive the weekend, it surely will be grand.
