Great opening game by the Flames, if I can pick one thing out, its the Flames attention to details, except for a couple of breakdowns, they played a strong defensive game and a stronger positional game.
You can really see the difference in depth between the Flames and the Avs.

Wow, blown away. Probably because of the bad memories of playoffs past, but I did not expect such a great performance by the team.

I'm usually the 1st to criticize the team but that was honestly the ideal game 1 for them;
- They looked nervous/too amped up
- They played average at best and won 4-0
- The Avs had a number of quality chances and Smith stood tall
- Smith's confidence level through the roof (exactly what he needs right off the start)
- They won with the 1st line not doing much offensively
- The PP scored twice
I expect a much more relaxed and dominant team moving forward.
