Kassian looks like a tough guy but Glass & Lomberg beat him up.

Looks can be deceiving.

Kassian looks a bit more psycho than tough. Psycho can be intimidating to face.

Yeah, and I actually had psycho in there before I changed it to tough.

Thing is, he is a psycho. He'd take a cheap shot or go to extremes quickly if he could.

Therefore he looks like a psycho because he is. But the tough part, that can be debated.

Having a "reaction" in the form of what he did to Tkachuk certainly screams (pun intended) psycho.

Most people would get ragdolled around because that level of abrupt physically rage would come so unexpectedly if you're just chugging along doing your thing.

Imagine someone reacting that way because you one upped him at work a few times. He has a few screws loose no doubt.

And many in Edmonton celebrate that behavior. And that's ####ed.

If you ran that sequence five times, once or twice it results in a bad injury to the guy on the receiving end.

Anyway this is the Robinson thread but yeah it's worth pointing out repeatedly how mindblowingly wrong a lot of people got it that chimed in.

Hopefully buddy doesn't have to deal with any illegal antics in his potentially first game.

He could take a nothing day, and suddenly make it all seem worthwhile.

Then I suggest anyone intimidated look at his actual fights on video. Not too impressive.

I hope no one fights Kassian. The Flames dont need to humor that caveman. He should be legally sent through the end boards over and over until he takes a dumb instigator penalty is thrown out of the game and suspended for 10 games. Buddy and Chucky and Rinaldo and Lucic can all take turns if they want. A hit is a hit if its legal he cant call it predatory when he is the one putting himself in that position.

You don't get it obviously.

After 7 seasons in the minors, Robinson is now absolutely, positively brimming with confidence.

He cannot, HE WILL NOT, be denied his 17 minutes of icetime in his 8th NHL game! He's too damn cocksure!

Yeah, just goad the guy until he does something stupid and gets tossed. Shouldn't be too hard.

I'm saying I'd be way more afraid to fight Robinson in a bare knuckle fight.

I'd be afraid to be in the same room as Kassian if there were any sharp objects in view.

Well they didn't necessarily plan to do it, but they did end up trying it

It didn't look too bad actually. Loved the buddy chants.

It is still early to say for sure, but he looks like a player. Might just be the energy and excitement for him, but he did his job and then some all night long. He was fast, physical and skilled - beat guys to the puck, used his size really well, and helped to generate some offensive chances. Almost scored as well. Played on the PK to boot, and even in the last minute of the game. I would like to see how he performs after 10 games at least, but he unquestionably looked like a real NHL'er last night.

Someone with some kind of graphic skills needs to put Johnny and Buddy's face on that commercial.

Instant classic.

I just watched most of his fights on Hockeyfights and he is a brutal fighter. He jumps guys, throws punches after the linesmen get in, majority of his wide lefts hit the guys in the back. As soon as he has to square up with guys that can actually fight he is grabbing pants, waiting for linesmen etc. All the typical idiot fighting. Daniel Carcillo beat this idiot in a fight.

He's another Zach Stortini, he looks all tough and glarey and stuff, but when it comes to fighting guys in his own weight class he's a wilting flower.

I don't think he looks like an NHLer and was kind of a drag on that line tonight.

If the Flames can pick up another finisher for that line before the trade deadline, the team will be a lot more dangerous.

He would be a top 6 winger on your team.
