Gets interesting after this. I think Don Hay has matured over the years, but in his year with the Flames he seemed completely over his head.
So him or Gully next round? Hmmmmm.

Risebrough took a team with:

Al MacInnis
Theoren Fleury
Joe Nieuwendyk
Gary Roberts
Sergei Makarov
Mike Vernon
Gary Suter
Doug Gilmour (1/2 the year)
Robert Reichel
Joel Otto

To a .461 points percentage. He should be fighting it out with Gilbert for the worst of all time.

Risebrough was the worst.

All the other candidates had bad teams and didn't do much with them.

Risebrough had a Stanley Cup contender filled with talent and drove them into the ground.

Looks like we've finally done a dive deep enough down to the bottom of the barrel to where Gulutzan is getting votes. Thank goodness he's gone and thank goodness he's in Edmonton. Good riddance.

Gulutzan made the Flames incredibly boring and unenjoyable to watch. As a fan, if the team is boring and unenjoyable to watch, what's in it for me? It's certainly worse than having an exciting or passably entertaining team with terrible results. He is also the first coach that actually made me not want to watch the team play at all and he is dead last to me for that.

Brent Sutter didn't do this to you as well?

I honestly have no idea how Brent is so high on this list.

I refuse to believe that we’ve had three coaches worse than Glen Gulutzan.

I found the team frustrating and disappointing when Brent was coaching. No doubt. Not to the same extent as when Gulutzan was coaching though. I just hated the style of play under Gulutzan.
