Default Eddie Shack passes at 83

A very colourful character who had a role on the late Leafs cup teams, and a famous figure in Canada even through the 70s and 80s

Clear the track,here comes Shack

I started watching hockey in 67. remember him so well and what a character. I also remember an interview with him one summer wearing shorts. Legs like tree trunks! And the mustache! He'll be remembered fondly.

Character is an understatement. Brought a ton of personality to the game.

Not the most gifted guy, but one of those who did what ever was needed.

Saw that he had been moved to palliative care about a week ago.

RIP Eddie.

First lunchbox I can remember. And still one of the cooler hockey cards I kept.

Clear the track.

An 8 year old could get inside Kassian's head.

Let's keep the thread about Eddie Shack - one of the greatest characters in NHL history.

Clear the track, here comes Shack
He’ll knock you down and he’ll give you a whack
He can score goals, he’s got a knack
Eddie, Eddie Shack

If anyone hasn't listened to it, his interview on Spittin' Chiclets is great

Man I remember the “We Want Shack” chants. Then the big cheer when he finally got a shift.
