I dunno - I'm not a cartoon fan being in my 30s, but that looks pretty well done. And it has the Netflix badge which means some money was put into it. Worth at least one episode from my end.

Uh huh....some of these seemed more like 'We know who did it, we just cant prove it.'

And if you want some sort of resolution on the Space Aliens one you might be waiting a while.

Hot Tip: If you live in a small rural town and are constantly raving about space aliens people are going to think you're batcrap nuts. More news at 11.

So watched Fire Saga and it was not as bad as expected. Honestly for me I think it is key to have low expectations going in, which I did. I’m not really even a big fan of Will Ferrell but it was an easy watch. Predictable, cute, and probably a bit long. The part with the hamster wheel incident I lost it.

It's quite amusing watching the originals on Prime and they interview a husband who very unconvincingly tells us he didn't kill his wife and has absolutely no idea what happened to her.

Then we get the update and they tell us that yes, he was convicted for murder.

Shocking.

I think what we really need is 'Solved Mysteries of Florida.'

Narrated by Ron Howard.

"He said he didnt kill his wife. He did."

I think it probably helped to have some appreciation of the contest before hand, but i have to say I really enjoyed Fire Saga: Eurovision Song Contest. The songs were great and if you are familiar with the contest fantastically plausible as real entrys.

I keeled over with laughter at a couple jokes in particular.

Bonus: I really really like what would have been icelands entry for this years competition which was sadly cancelled. Tinfoil hat me thinks that covid is actually a grand conspiracy by the governor of the central bank of iceland to prevent these guys from winning so not to bankrupt the country when they ended up having to host next year.

I actually think they did do a great job of capturing the spirit of Eurovision, which always embraces misift and oddball acts. It really doesn't take itself too seriously.

The problem for me was the run-time of Fire Saga and the extremely drawn out love plot. They could have easily cut the movie down to 90 minutes and made it a whole lot better.

Lucifer season 5 has been announced for release on August 21. At the same time they announced that season 5 will no longer be the final season and there will be a 6th season.

Old Guard was ok. Better than some of the other junk that has come out, but it still couldn't hold my attention into the second half. The action scenes started to fade. It sure felt like a setup or pilot movie for future 'episodes' and not a stand alone action movie. (Yes I'm aware of the source material)

Just wrapped season 1 of Dark. I did manage to guess the reveal of the final episode but also don’t think that they were trying to keep it hidden. I really like the premise of the show so thanks for the recommendations here.

I do find it tricky keeping track of everybody and their relationships to each other.

Looking fwd to more to seeing the direction it goes from here

oh, boy, you are in for some fun times in the next couple of seasons!

despite the complexity, i think they managed to answer most questions pretty well...but you really do need to pay attention, especially if you are watching in German

don't let that dissuade you; its like an intricate swiss watch... beautifully shot, acted, written and scored.

Definitely one of the best series, imo, of the last 10 years.

Just noticed Colour Out of Space is on Netflix.

Worth checking out if you like weird Lovecraftian sci-fi horror and Nic Cage in general.

Who watched Snowpiercer? I thought it was okay. I found the cartoony blood to be distracting.

I really enjoyed Old Guard and hope it is parlayed into a trilogy like I have been reading there is the potential for.

I started watching Suburra, an Italian crime drama set in Rome. Not bad so far.

So on Dark, is it a show you need to binge? Of if you only watch once every several days can you still keep track of everything?
